2. Data We Process

2.1 Hosting (Vercel)

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). When you visit any page, Vercel automatically records standard server log data: IP address, date and time of request, URL, HTTP status code, and browser type. We do not access these logs in normal operation. Vercel acts as a data processor under Art. 28 GDPR. Data is deleted after 30 days. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in stable, secure operation).

2.2 Meeting bookings (Cal.com)

When you book a call using the scheduling widget on this site, Cal.com collects your name, e-mail address, and preferred time on our behalf. Cal.com acts as a processor under a data-processing agreement. Their privacy policy is available at cal.com/privacy. The Cal.com embed also sets strictly necessary session and CSRF cookies; these do not require your consent under Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps at your request).

2.3 Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

With your consent, we load Google Analytics 4 (GA4), operated by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. GA4 sets persistent cookies to collect anonymised usage statistics (pages visited, session duration, referral source). IP addresses are anonymised before storage. Data is processed in the USA under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision. GA4 is only loaded after you click Accept all on the cookie banner. You may withdraw consent at any time by clicking Cookie Settings in the footer. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

3. Retention

  • Vercel server logs: deleted after 30 days by Vercel.
  • Cal.com booking data: retained for the duration of the business relationship, then deleted unless a statutory retention obligation applies.
  • GA4 analytics data: retained for 14 months by Google (default retention setting). Your consent decision is stored locally in your browser and cleared when you reset via Cookie Settings.

4. Your Rights

Under GDPR and BDSG you have the following rights:

  • Access (Art. 15 GDPR) — request confirmation of whether we hold data about you and a copy of that data.
  • Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) — request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) — request deletion where no lawful basis for continued processing exists.
  • Restriction (Art. 18 GDPR) — request that we limit processing in certain circumstances.
  • Portability (Art. 20 GDPR) — request your data in a machine-readable format where processing is based on consent or contract.
  • Object (Art. 21 GDPR) — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR) — withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. For analytics, use the Cookie Settings button in the footer.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@binarycodebarn.com. We will respond within one month (Art. 12(3) GDPR).
